Professor David Nutt, an international expert in the field of neuropsychopharmacology, is the Edmund J. Safra Professor of Neuropsychopharmacology and Head of the Neuropsychopharmacology Unit in the Centre for Academic Psychiatry, Division of Brain Sciences, Department of Medicine, Hammersmith Hospital, at Imperial College London. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Open University in the UK and at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.

Professor Nutt will share his experience regarding new treatment strategies for treatment resistant depression. During this session he will explore the following topics more in depth:

• The contribution of brain science to modern psychiatry

• Modern fast-acting antidepressants: broad neuropsychopharmacological approach

• Drug-assisted psychotherapy, the particular case of esketamine

Professor Chris Bervoets (KU Leuven) will be the moderator of this event.
